Tibetan Monks visit Richmond, VA

Tibetan Monks bless the James River The monks created an exquisite sand mandala of the celestial home of the Buddha of Compassion for the ceremony of the reopening of the Virginia Museum of Fine Art. After the mandala's completion it was taken to the James River by caravan and released in a ceremony to bless the fish and wild life of the James River ecosystem. I am optimistic some of this blessing will travel to the Gulf of Mexico where it is needed most urgently. To view the Mandala and witness more of the ritual watch the video embedded below.
